'La Vescogna' is an old italian mansion that dates back to the 17th century and it is an extraordinary example of a country-stately house located on the homonym hillock (400 m) in the superior administrative division of Calco village, in the heart of the green Brianza land, 10 km away from Lake Como (Lecco side). The house enjoys a spectacular panoramic view over the valley and the city of Milan, which is only 35km away, a shopping expedition down the famed Via Montenapoleone and a peek at Leonardo da Vinci's “Last Supper,” plus the Duomo and La Scala are all a must, renowned museums and exhibitions and active nightlife.
The renowned towns of Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo and Menaggio are easily reachable from the town of Lecco, located on the east shore of the lake, only 15 km from La Vescogna, either by driving along the lake's shore or crossing it by ferry (“Navigazione Laghi”).
The advantageous location of the mansion makes it possible to learn more and discover this part of the Lombardy: beside the proximity with Lecco, the house is located close to other interesting attractions: the beautiful and old town of Bergamo Alta (30 km); the city of Monza (20 km), with its famous Autodromo where the Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place every September; the prestigious Golf Club Milano (20 km), with its 27 hollows and a bunch of other Golf Clubs such as Golf Club Lecco (10 km), and Golf Brianza Country Club (15 km) with 18 hollows all easily reachable in 20 minutes.
The Milan Linate airport is only 40 km away whereas the Orio Al Serio airport is only 30 km.
'La Vescogna' is characterized by simple and dour shapes on the front facade that remind of its having been a castle of an Italian noble family (Calchi family) in the XIV century, situated by the Adda river, on the border between the Dukedom of Milan and the Venetian Republic.
On the other side, the house is rather baroque and it faces the south with its typical italian garden, constituted of three different terraces, each with its flight, balcony and marble decorations, not to mention its boxwood being shaped with topiary art and those prestigious trees typical of the XIX century 'romantic garden”.
In the most repaired but best located side, just a few steps away from the amazing pool (25 meters length), there is an ancient stable shed that is now used as a club-house.
The west wing of the mansion available for weekly rent is composed:
On the ground floor there is a lominous glazed veranda hedged by scented jasmines, to which it is possible to have access from the main courtyard, a wide dining room and a cosy living room with a big fireplace in stones beyond the kitchen.
All rooms are located on the first floor facing the green courtyard and they provide a guest toilet with a small living-room
- a luxury suite room with a fresco ceiling and antique furnitures and exclusive bathroom with shower.
- 2 double rooms

The service-rooms are located in the basement where there is a billiard room as well. In the back side there is big and shaded terrace furnished and decorated so as to be both a relaxing and refreshing place during the hottest hours of the day and a cozy dining corner with BBQ
