Please note, that Lisbon airport is less than 1 hour from the apartment as it's on the north side of Lisbon. This is useful as you don't need to drive through Lisbon city centre to get to Sunset Retreat. Another alternative to Lisbon airport is Porto airport which is 2 hours 20 minutes away.
Having spent a lot of time researching car hire companies, we would have no hesitation recommending RentalCars. They don't rent cars themselves, but they do put you in touch with the lowest cost vehicle in the band you want. Although you should be aware that the price you're quoted must also include insurances, the prices are excellent value compared to other car-hire companies locally.

Sunset Retreat is located less than an hour north of Lisbon in the sleepy seaside town of São Martinho do Porto. Our apartment can be found on the top floor of an exclusive small set of apartments on a well-located yet quiet road, only a few hundred yards from the beach and sea front. The promenade is strewn with a variety of authentic restaurants, bustling coffee shops, traditional craft shops and interesting bars. Within 20 minutes of Sunset Retreat, you can find a wide variety of other beaches, golf courses, medieval towns and nature reserves. Some of our guests who crave bit more adventure, take advantage of the many cycle paths and walks in and around the bay.
