Ryan Air and Easy Jet offer several direct flights per week from London Stansted and Luton Airports. Alghero Fertillia airport is only 7 km away and there are several car hire outlets at the airport. Taxis and buses run regularly from the airport to Alghero and Lido. If you fancy driving in your own car from Dover, head for Genoa in northern Italy and take the ferry across to Porto Torres (12 hour ferry crossing time).Using your own car or a hire car? - There is a private car parking space at the apartment and Sardinia has excellent roads which will give you access to the many beautiful beaches around the region, the lush mountainous interior or the other towns and cities such as Sassari, Olbia on the Emerald Coast and Cagliari, the island's capital city in the south. For those who fancy cycling, Alghero has dedicated cycle routes that run all the way along the coast either side of Alghero, with cycle hire outlets in the city.
