You can either arrive at lodge Tvera by driving through the fjords from the South or North (North only in summer), but we would recommend at least one way by the ferry boat between town Stykkisholmur and the harbor Brjanslækur. Reg. renting a car, a normal passenger car is suitable for the summer (15% discount for our guests by Hertz), but you should rent a 4WD vehicle for the winter. If you need a real 4x4 vehicle, our guests get 15% discount by Isak ltd. When you have booked Tvera we will mail you further info for the way and the stay. NB!: in the wintertime the main road can become closed for a while due to snow storms, and the 200 m long home run for lodge Tvera can become inaccessible because of snow, even for 4x4 vehicles.
