There are 3 airport options:

Mombasa Airport is just over 40 km away and has the most flight options as well as usually being the cheapest. However traffic going through Mombasa and Mtwapa can mean the journey from the airport can take an unpredictable amount of time so it is not my favourite option. Most flights into Mombasa originate from JKIA Nairobi. Turkish Airlines flies into Mombasa from Europe.

Malindi Airport is just under 70 km away and will take a predictable amount of time - approximately 1 hour and it is a pretty drive.

Vipingo Ridge - there are direct flights on Safarilink from Wilson Airport, Nairobi to the private airstrip at the ridge which is 10 minutes away from the house. This is the most favourable and stress free option.

The SGR railway is a great budget option for larger groups and is far safer than the Mombasa road.

People coming in from Nairobi by train are advised to take the slower train and alight at Mariakani from where there is a very pleasant cut through road that comes out close to Vipingo (1 hour). If coming in to Miritini (Mombasa station), the traffic is once again very unpredictable and its usually an unpleasant drive.

I have a good deal with a local car hire company that can bring a vehicle to any of these airports or the railway stations. They can also provide the option of a driver who can stay on site throughout your stay.

Otherwise I have an excellent taxi driver with a 7 seater vehicle who can pick you up from any of the airports or the railway stations and a taxi driver with a smaller vehicle that can collect people from Vipingo Ridge airstrip or from Mariakani.
