We recommend that you hire a car. Transfers from Faro airport are possible, but it is about 100km, so hiring a car is usually better value. This then allows you to get to other beaches and attractions.
There is a train station in Lagos (15 minutes by car) and there are local buses that run between Lagos and Sagres that stop in Salema, so you can get about even if you do not have a car.
