Come raggiungere la struttura

The Breckenridge ski resort sits above and to the west of the town of Breckenridge, Colorado. Located 80 miles west of Denver and 104 miles from Denver International Airport, the roads are good and our journeys typically take 1-1.5 hours unless snowfall is fresh and particularly heavy. If it is your first trip, budget a little longer. On the way you will pass large Retail Outlet Malls and then historic gold mining towns as you climb. Breckenridge is in Summit County on Co Highway 9, about 10 miles from the I-70 and the town of Frisco.

Transportation from the airport to Breckenridge is fast and easy! Shuttles will take you directly from the airport to Grand Timber Lodge and all of the national car rental agencies have offices at the DIA and Eagle/Vail airports. Eagle/Vail Regional Airport is located in Gypsum, about 60 miles west of I-70.

Car is useful but not necessary when in the Resort (see Getting Around). Snow tires are a must but 4x4 is optional, only needed in unusually heavy snowfall - our default vehicle is an SUV.

Shuttle buses are also available to/from Denver International airport. There are an array of transport companies providing very regular shared shuttle van services (ie every hour), or private transfers between the Denver airport and your Breckenridge accommodation. Examples include Summit Express, Peak One Express, Epic Mountain Express, etc. It is also possible to get a (Greyhound) bus from the airport to Frisco, and then use the Summit Stage coach bus to get to Breckenridge.

If flying long-haul from lower altitudes, there are some very convenient hotels both in Denver and around the airport, which will assist in acclimatizing overnight before heading up to the mountains. Ask us for suggestions.

A car is useful but not necessary when in the Resort. We prefer the Free (call-up) Shuttle Bus from Grand Timber Lodge around the town. Daily buses are available to other Summit County ski resorts including Vail, Copper Mountain, Keystone, etc. For maximum flexibility, a car is advisable though, especially if you plan on skiing all resorts on the All Mountain Ski Pass and dont want to be tied to bus times. Naturally there are the usual taxi and town bus options as well.
