Arrive by car then choose to continue touring with automobile or rent bicycles and kayaks (within 1/2 mile of the house). It's an easy walk to seasonal restaurants, the grocery market for food, beer, wine and to the waterfront! During high season, an Island Explorer bus serves the Schoodic Peninsula (free) and will pick up and drop off passengers at any location along the Schoodic Loop. Or take the passenger ferry (less than 1/2 mile from the house) over to Bar Harbor and the Mt. Desert Island section of Acadia National Park.
