Access Information:

The location of Rumsdale cottage is quite unique being set upon a hill with wonderful views overlooking the East Looe River and sea inlet.

The cottage is one of eight developed around Commonwood Manor.

The access from the road to the cottage is via a steep driveway which should be taken in a low gear. There is a sharp bend in the road halfway up the track. This then leads to a flat, lit car parking area designated for one vehicle.

The cottage is then approached by a lit walkway and then a short flight of steps leading to a patio area. The main door gives access to the lounge and from here there is a short flight of stairs (approx 6) to the kitchen area.

Another small flight of stairs (approx 6) leads to the bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

Externally there are approx 50 steps leading to Commonwood Manor driveway which joins “Johns Way“; this is a private footpath leading to the town centre a 10-minute walk away. Please note there is a short section of the walk which is on a busy main road with no pavement.
