Outside the Walls At the foot of the town, there is a lush geothermal spring, with steamy water reaching temperatures of 37c°. The warm water flows across the land in what is known as the ‘Gorello’ and then becomes a waterfall with shallow rock pools that can be enjoyed all year round. The luxurious Terme di Saturnia SPA & Golf Resort welcomes day visitors, offering the use of their facilities to non-guests. The Surroundings Near Saturnia there are plenty of opportunities for trekking and horse riding. Within 20/30kilometres there are multiple archaeological sites and medieval towns, such as Montemerano, Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana. A little further away, is the lake of Bolsena, and the archaeological sites of Vulci, Tuscania and Tarquini
