Old Orchard Beach is in southern Maine just 36 miles over the state border and just 12 miles from the Portland International Airport (PWM). There is plenty to do beside going to the best beach in Maine, for ex: - golf, fishing, bicycling, scenic walks, area amusement/water parks and restaurants especially in the Old Port area. Factory outlets just 40 min away in Kittery to the south or Freeport to the north, home to LL Bean. Old Orchard Beach is also a stop on the Amtrack downeaster route from Boston to Brunswick. Great way to get to Boston and catch a baseball game or other activity.
