From the M5, at junction 27, take the A361 towards South Molton. At the Aller Cross roundabout, take the 3rd exit signposted A399 for Combe Martin, Lynton and Blackmoor Gate.

At Blackmoor Gate road junction, take the right turn onto the A39 signposted for Lynton. Follow this road PAST the turnings for Parracombe and Heddons Mouth. Just after Woody Bay Station, turn left at Martinhoe Cross, signposted for Martinhoe and Woody Bay .

Continue on this road, going through the hamlet of Martinhoe. At the next crossroads junction turn right downhill, signposted for Hunters Inn.

Follow the narrow lane DOWN into the valley, past Mannacott Farm (on a sharp left hand bend). Continue for another quarter mile down the steep hill where you will see our drive on the right hand side (two small cairns with plaques saying “Private Road Leading to Martinhoe Cleave and Heddon’s Gate“).

Martinhoe Cleave Cottages are straight ahead at the end of the driveway where you will see our sign. Please do not call at “Martinhoe Cleave” (to the left) which is a private house.
